Scarred by childhood trauma and drowning in alcohol, Dan finds a fragile peace working at a hospice, where his shining helps the dying slip away gently. Itâs here he earns his nickname: Doctor Sleep.
But when he meets Abra Stone, a young girl with powers even stronger than his own, Dan is pulled into a battle against a nomadic cult called the True Knot. They feed on children like Abra, and theyâre getting closer.
A sequel to The Shining, but very much its own beast, Doctor Sleep is a story about addiction, redemption, and fighting for the light when all youâve ever known is darkness.
