Stephen King and Richard Chizmar’s collaborative effort, the Gwendy Trilogy, is set to be released as a single-volume omnibus on February 18, 2025. This collection brings together all three novels: “Gwendy’s Button Box,” “Gwendy’s Magic Feather,” and “Gwendy’s Final Task.” The series begins with 12-year-old Gwendy Peterson receiving a mysterious box from a stranger, a gift that brings both wonder and peril. As Gwendy matures, the narrative delves deeper into the box’s dark influence and the challenges she faces in resisting its temptations. The omnibus is currently available for preorder at a discounted price of $20 on Amazon.

For those who prefer individual editions, a paperback box set containing all three books is also available, priced at $27.

In addition to the Gwendy Trilogy, King has other works slated for release in 2025. “Never Flinch,” arriving on May 27, follows the Buckeye City Police Department as they respond to a letter threatening to kill 14 people as an act of atonement for the death of an innocent man. A new printing of “Skeleton Crew: Stories” is set to release on February 25 for $22. Additionally, “The End of the World As We Know It,” an anthology collecting short stories from various authors based on King’s novel “The Stand,” featuring a foreword by King, is scheduled for release on August 19.

Richard Chizmar, King’s co-author, has also penned notable works such as “Chasing The Boogeyman” and its sequel “Becoming the Boogeyman,” both of which are currently on sale. His latest book, “Memorials,” explores a supernatural tale about a group of students encountering unsettling symbols on grave markers while filming a documentary in the Appalachian Mountains.

For those interested in exploring more of King’s collaborative works, “The Talisman” and its sequel “Black House,” co-written with Peter Straub, are noteworthy. There has been speculation about a third installment in this series, sometimes referred to as “Talisman 3.” In August 2023, King expressed the possibility of continuing the series despite Straub’s passing, mentioning that Straub had shared ideas for the third book before his death. By January 2025, King confirmed he had started writing the new novel, tentatively titled “Talisman 3,” based in part on notes left by Straub.

For fans of King’s work, 2025 promises a wealth of new material toe xplore.
